Kellie Martin. Martin, a native of the United States is an American television and film actress. She is best known for playing Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher and Lucy Knight on the series ER. Also, she is known for playing the title role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin was born to a department store buyer as well as an elementary school teacher. Her first acting experience was as a child at the age of seven. her aunt, a nanny in Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin find a role as an actor on the 1982 television series Father Murphy. Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more serious. Her roles were significant on TV as well as on the big screen. Martin as well as being an actor, is also an accomplished photographer and ballet dancer. The mother of two daughters Martin is the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness of the disease each day following the passing of her sister when she was the age of 19.
